Going on safari in the rainy season (green safaris) can be a bit of a hit and miss adventure. You could be stuck in your lodge due to endless rain or you could be able to go on game drives or walks as per normal. Whatever the situation you’ll be treated with some spectacular sights.
The combination of dark rain clouds on the horizon, green vegetation, rainbows, and beautiful sunshine is hard to beat. Its a photographers dream!!
The cycle of life is never more evident than at this time of year with a plethora of young to be seen. Usual watering points are ignored by wildlife as they favour the seasonal water points in less visited areas.
It is likely to be harder to see game due to thick vegetation but you’ll be able to get real close as a result when you’re out walking.
